Video Blog: Greg Robertson previews the upcoming MAC Championships

The Golden Flashes leave this afternoon for the Mid-American Conference Championship, then compete for their 17th consecutive league crown April 24-26 at Shaker Run Country Club in Lebanon, Ohio. Prior to the team's departure, head coach Greg Robertson previewed the battle for another MAC crown.

The Golden Flashes head coach talks bout the excitement around Corey Conners and his first appearance at The Masters. The Kent State Men's Golf alum will play at Augusta as an amateur this week, earning his spot with a runner-up finish at last year's United States Amateur. Conners tees off early in Thursday's first round in an 8:18 am pairing that includes fellow Canadian and 2003 Masters champion Mike Weir. Ben Crane is also in the group.

Lady Puerto Rico Classic Trip Blog

Tuesday, February 17th

11:22 P.M.
We have arrived back to a dark and snowy Ohio to end our annual trip to Puerto Rico.


7:49 P.M.
We almost forgot it was Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras until we saw this airport employee in Atlanta.


5:21 P.M.
It's been a long day. Time to get some z's on the plane.


1:21 P.M.
A 6th place finish at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.



12:05 P.M.
This iguana made his way across the 18th green as a group was making its way up the fairway. Fore!


11:20 A.M.
The sun has remained out all day today.  Here's a look over the water hazard by the 17th tee.


7:12 A.M.
Good morning from the final round at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.  The sun is out and it looks to be a beautiful day at Rio Mar Country Club.



Monday, February 16th

We couldn't resist having this delicious sushi to eat for dinner again.

Here's a look from one of the course's bridges. The river was running strong today due to the rain overnight.

The second round was played on a overcast, windy day.  But we were lucky the rain held off and it was still warm.


Sunday, February 15th


5:29 P.M.
The sun came back out in the late afternoon, so we took advantage by spending some time outside.  Jennifer was being a true student-athlete by getting some homework done.

It was a great first round for the Golden Flashes!

The clouds rolled in in the afternoon and with it a little rain.  But we still have nothing to complain about with hot temperatures and views like this!


9:45 A.M.
The sun was out bright and shining this morning...and with it the iguanas! This big guy was hanging out by hole 13.



8:00 A.M.
Time for the 13th annual Puerto Rico Classic to begin! We are playing in foursomes and are paired up with LSU, Auburn and Iowa State for the first round of the tournament.



Saturday, February 14th

Battling some on-and-off sprinkles this morning, but the sun is peeking out now and then. How about this gorgeous view of some early-morning clouds covering the mountain and rainforest?

Friday, February 13th

Wad pulls out some of her parlor tricks at dinner. Delicious sushi at one of the hotel restaurants.


3:42 P.M.
The view from the lobby looking out at the pool area towards the ocean.  We certainly won't tire of seeing this view for the next few days!

1:12 P.M.
We have landed in Puerto Rico!

Safely landed in Orlando and all smiles as we board our flight to Puerto Rico!
